We are located
in West Virginia, situated in the middle of the State, on I-77
next to the Ohio River in Jackson County. We're a County Levy funded EMS system,
operating 3-24 hour stations
with mostly ALS crews strategically located throughout
the County. employing 24 full time EMT's and Paramedics. There are 6 Ambulances
available at 3 stations with a part-time members list, operating under
the State of West Virginia Medical Command System, using the Statewide
Protocols. We serve over 28,000 citizens in central West Virginia, working with
the 5 Volunteer Fire Departments of this County, and are
dispatched by the county 911 center (OEMS). Our local hospital is Jackson General
Hospital. Also available are Aeromedical service's from Charleston,
Huntington, Morgantown, and Ohio University Hospitals. A level I Trauma Center
and the Best Cardiac Center in the State is only 35 minutes away.
Again our service has been revamped.
